| | | Boycott BP I don't know if there's a similar thread on here already, but please show your disgust at BP's negligence by boycotting them and all their products.

The oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico is shaping up to be the most colossal environmental disaster in history, not least of all that they are pumping millions of litres of dispersant directly into the source of the oil to disguise the scale of the problem.
Please spread the word and let's make this company pay.

| | | Re: Boycott BP I think I heard that the cost so far of the operation is 7% of last year's profits.
I don't think the shareholders need be particularly worried over their dividends.

"Hello"
"Oh hi Rossco, it's Bob Dudley here, managing director of BP. I'm just calling to let you know that we're secretly pumping dispersant directly into the oil leak in the gulf of Mexico because we don't want people to know how bad it really is. We're doing this under the noses of two thirds of the world's media, the US regulatory authorities, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, etc., etc., all of whom are too stupid to realise what we're up to. I'm just letting you know so that you can spread it around the Internet where there is currently a disgraceful shortage of conspiracy theories. Have a good day!" Click. Brrrrrrrrr...

| | | Re: Boycott BP The rig wasn't owned by BP. It was owned and operated by a company called transoceon who are the world’s largest offshore drilling contractor and they operate all over the world including the north sea.
Boycotting BP probably won't affect them as they probably work with many oil companies. |

| | | Re: Boycott BP Incidentally, the major problems appear to be those of subcontractors Transocean. They also have another rig (Deepwater Expedition) where (alledgedly) the Blowout Preventor has not been providing signals for the past month or so, and is currently being towed to Singapore for repairs.
Obviously, as contractors, BP are ultimately responsible for any failures on the job, and, as Mr Obama has stated, will pay every dime it costs to clean up the mess. |

Looks like we'll just have to boycott oil altogether then. This should be fun. |

| | | Re: Boycott BP WHY !!!!
Its the US who wants the oil, in fact BP has gone to great lengths to stop the oil, from a leased oil rig. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
