Sorry did not finish number four child turned up with children. In the sixties our ignorance about the population was bliss. We were actively encouraged by society then who see the population explosion as an economic boost, to go forth and reproduce. Short sighted politics neglected the maths. Without getting too political, how would we stop people having too many children. I would hate too see this country adopt the barbaric practice of forced abortion as an eastern country has done. I would not give up any of mine but they have all grown up wondering if it is fair to bring children into the world, making sure they are able to look after and support their one - two children, (without credits).

It is simple to look back and see what went wrong, but how do we fix it, or can we?

Grow your own. The produce is fresh therefore more nutritious and does not come wrapped in plastic, washed in Chlorine or in gas filled bags. You stop lining the pockets of supermarkets and get exercise in the process.

Compost your waste and put it back into your garden.

Save water. the only time when it is good to have a big butt!!!!

no no NO! Kill the kids and have fifty dogs. Then they might form a pack and kill every human. Or did you mean prevent your children from having so many dogs? Cats are much more dangerous for wildlife than (well behaved) dogs.

Oh Brenda I wish we could find an amicable way to limit our population. But I think the politicians are STILL doing their sums wrong, and we have religion to cope with as well.
Religious people still think that 'Go forth and multiply' applies. BUT we've BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT. We've DONE what all the ancient Books asked. Now it's time to pat ourselves on the back and call a halt to the multiplication.

Is it to late to save the environment, things are not changing quick enough, all the powers that be know that but they still do next to nothing.
