| | | Forestry Commission public consultation "The Study of the Forestry Commission Estate in England
Consultation on the Long-term role of the public forest estate
A major piece of evidence that the study will consider will be the results of a public consultation.
The public consultation was launched on 6 July 2009 and will finish on 28 September 2009.
If you have an interest in England’s trees, woods and forests you should be interested in the public forest estate and this consultation."
I imagine a lot of WAB members have already made their submissions to this public consultation regarding the future of the Public Forest Estate, but I just thought it might be an idea to post the details in case anyone hasn't seen it and would like to put forward their views. The consultation closes at 5.00pm on Monday 28th Sept. Click here to link to the Forestry Commission page where you can download the consultation pdf.
For my 30p per year* I get to use this very important resource every single day - I certainly consider that value for money.
* see p28 of the consultation document.
This is a pretty picture of my local Forestry Commission wood - Chopwell Wood, near Gateshead.

| | | Re: Forestry Commission public consultation That link doesn't seem to work ... I'd be interested to see it as I'm shortly (fingers crossed) going to be living right next to Forestry Commission woodland.
This gets closer, hopefully ... http://www.forestry.gov.uk/newsrele....2576390043F428

Sorry about the link - I'm not the most computer savvy person you'd ever encounter, I'm afraid
This is a link to a different page - the main page about this consultation - but it still has links to the relevant documents. Forestry Commission - England - Public Forest Estate Study
Good luck with the move.
