Think twice about 'green' transport, say scientists

I've just read through this - and I find it heartening ( after all the doom and gloom I've researched recently) that people here are debating this sort of thing.

It's a difficult one isn't it ?
I'd definitely say that the original article was a biassed viewpoint and I'd full agree that public transport won't work until we use it and therefore it won't be a viable option while we can all afford car.
I think an even bigger change of awareness may be necessary before the future of the planet may be considered.
