| | | Re: Low flying helicopters. there has been some below the tree line flights here by a construction company at a new housing estate. not sure why they needed to fly around and hover so low but they did for just over a hour.
helicopters are not very common round these parts, but small aircraft are thanks to the many grass aerodromes that cover this bit of Yorkshire. give me a jumbo flight path any day as they blend into the background noise much more so than these small prop planes buzzing about all day

and the military arent subject to CAA regs
that said its not really a problem - yes its a slight inconvenience, but compared with the need for military Helis to be able to perform casevac or close air support for the armed forces on the ground at anytime of day or night - and therefore to need night training , my slight inconvenience doesnt come into it.
