| | | A foolish dream-the journey begins Just to let you know that my foolish dream(or reasonable plan) started on 11/3/09 when the solicitor rang to say i am now the proud owner of some land
I have been in touch with the Wildlife trust for advice and help with a botanical survey.
I know there is a patch of selfheal which I saw last summer. I am led to believe there are also bee orchids.
I feel very lucky. |

| | | Re: A foolish dream-the journey begins Well done. Not foolish at all. If the only thing you do is to stop people building on or farming the land then you've made great contribution to wildlife .... but you'll do a lot more than that. God luck and let us know if there's any advice we can give! |

| | | Re: A foolish dream-the journey begins Fantastic, Sar! Will you do a blog to tell us of the progress of your discoveries? What sort of soil is it? High land or low? Water sources on site? Is it near where you live? Very exciting.
