| | | What do you do? I'd like to know;
Do you volunteer with environment/wildlife in your spare time?
What do you do & how many days or hours do you spend?
I'd like to spend a little spare time doing something, (I always worked with rescue animals/horses) though we have a menagerie to look after and my spare time is limited so just getting some info. Does anyone clean rivers/woods etc of litter or help with wildlife rescue, wall building, hedging etc? |

I'm the volunteers coordinator for the ridgeway and thames path national trails - if you are in glous, wilts, oxon, berks, bucks, northern herts, or north surrey feel free to drop me a pm.
other than that you might want to contact your local wildlife trust (they all have volunteer schemes), or national Trust or RSPB.

| | | Re: What do you do? Have volunteered with BTCV in the past. But I did that with the London branch, and I don't really like the way it's run now. And I want to work somewhere "rural" but easy to get to. So I'm currently "unemployed but available". I concentrate on my own little garden, and I have been known to clean up a large quantity of other people's litter.

| | | Re: What do you do? I've taken part in several volunteer days at my local nature reserve (Crossness) involving reedbed maintenance, ragwort pulling and modifications to a sand martin bank in the hope that the little beggars might start using it (no luck so far). I would like to do some voluntary work for the RSPB and will keep an eye open for local opportunities.

I used to work for various animal rescues, but never had bats - they're gorgeous aren't they, little cuties! We have some in the garden too | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
