I don't recall this - was it to protect our shoreline from erosion (no chance), from pollution, from invasive species, from motor boats? |

| | | Re: Protecting Our Shores Was this the scheme thay started devloping after the boxing day tsunami. The noticed those towns that hadnt removed there mangroves got off relatively lightly where as those who had chopped it down - well some of those villages just dont exist anymore.
In the UK I know there trying managed retreat and using saltmarshes to absorb the storm surges (hopefully not tsunamis!  ) |
