| | | is it nice and quiet where you are? I hope it is peaceful wherever you are. Here its noisy! There's endless streams of bikes going past my house.
Its the time of year ie at the end of May beginning of June we get invaded by bikes, thousands of them, because the TT motorbike races are held here.

| | | Re: is it nice and quiet where you are? Could be worse, I suppose. If you lived near Silverstone or Brands Hatch you'd have that continuous whining plus all the boy racers in the back roads and all the helicopters taking the rich scum to and from the tracks!
It's a week is it? Quote:

It's a week is it? | Yep! Towcester is a no go area on grand prix day..The A43 is a one way system to the track.
Helicopters over the house start at 7:30 in the morning none stop all day. |

| | | Re: is it nice and quiet where you are? On a race day, if the winds this direction, we can just hear Brands Hatch. Mind you the sound from the A2 is worse and that's constant!
Probably the quietest place I've ever been was on the side of a valley in the Yorkshire Dales. All you could hear was the gentle movement of the grass in the breeze.

| | | Re: is it nice and quiet where you are? There is a "walkway" opposite the back of my house that is used regularly by kids on those mini motor bikes that don't seem to have exhausts and they drive me nuts.
