Look at the world that God has given us. Lets do something about climate change so that when Jesus comes again he'll have a world to live in!!!

We are just the stewards of this place and do the best we can, if you ask your boss nicely perhaps he /she will assist.
We do not really do religion on this website our beliefs stay at home

Leifus, please keep on posting. Our beliefs don't stay at home. Not much point in any body joining if you can't say what you think.

What ever anybody thinks about God, climate change and the way we treat this planet and in fact the whole of space needs addressing. So yes, lets do something.

Interesting thread, religion and those who believe in the humanity/ kindness/respect etc, whatever their religion is a good thing.
I am not a believer in any religions, however like to think I have respect for those who do.

Interesting post, leifus may have a point.
Many people are searching for answers and sollutions to the worlds problems so is it completely out of the question that there may be answers in the Bible.
I once heard someone say that the Bible was a manual for life and contains all the info we need for caring for and sustaining our planet.
The book of Revelation is said to reveal exactly what will happen in the end times, which many believe we are living in now, especially when you consider what's taking place in the Middle East and Europe as we speak.

Sometimes we can't see the wood for the tree's and this might be one of those times when it could be beneficial to the human race to look elsewhere for some answers and not label the whole idea as rubbish.
Just a thought

Any impulse that makes you look outside yourself (and see that you're only a tiny party of something much bigger) is healthy, not just for the community but for the individual too.

It's been good to see the Church of England promoting Green issues, whether you're a member of that religion or not.

I'm with nightshade on this one - everyones religious beliefs are their own, and its not normally allowed to discuss them on here, there are many websites where you can if that is your wont.

If Jesus, or anyone, came back from a couple of thousand years ago they would be in for a shock. Some religions have worshipped nature and some have seen it as purely for their own needs. Some have done it a great dis-service. I don't personally need religion, but many find it helpful. So Leif, it's good that you care, and anyone else too of any persuasion

Politics and religion cause more trouble than they are worth,
you can see that on this site peoples words and deeds can show
their compassion without recourse to religion or (for the most part)
politics

Unless of course you believe in the big bang theory or evolution, then you're allowed to say whatever you like.

I can't see what you're all getting so excited about. I don't see any posts requesting a debate about personal religious beliefs.
There are many threads on this site re 'global warming', 'where will the world be in 1,000 years'.
In the astronomy forum there are references to 'the big bang' theory etc.
Why is it not allowed on this site to include the opinions of those who believe in a creator.
Not everyone who visits this site shares the same beliefs as the evolutionists etc. who seem to have everything their own way, and woe betide anyone who disagrees, so why aren't those who believe in intelligent design being given a right to air their views without fear of persecution, ridicule, sarcasm and abuse. I'm not suggesting for one minute that the creationists need to quote bible scripture and verse in support of their opinion, but why this 'closed shop' attitude. Whether I support evolution or creation is irrelevant but those who put themselves above the rest and profess to have all the answers and put themselves in charge of the world haven't done a very good job so far, that's why the world is in the muddle it is.
