If there was one thing you could change in this world - from a nature, wildlife, environmental point of view - what would it be?

For me it would be to stop any form of deforestation on any scale - be it from a very small local wood to a tropical rainforest. We need trees from local to global levels.

Why can't the vast majority of the human race understand that protecting our biodiversity and promoting sustainability is in the interest of all living things not least ourselves?

Easy to say .... less easy to see it happening .

I would stop all the new housebuilding on farm/greenbelt land, and build on old factory sites and town centres where there are boarded up properties. Maybe even put more stories on to create more living space. Put more resources into creating habitats for wildlife instead of destroying them all the time..Create wild areas where people can go to be at one with nature..

I want oil to run out , once it does we can concentrate on using all the by products of it sensibly.

i agree with the deforestation stopping.. i love wildlife in all forms but am also into bushcraft and traditional cultures and wot the can teach us so we need to save these tribes.. a lot of which are seriously threatened by deforestation... james

Overpopulation. If there were less of us then we wouldn't put such a strain on so many things.

I'd reduce the human population by two thirds and seriously reduce fertility. HUman population would grow very slowly in a society that properly values children

Turn the clock back to 1950,when life was a lot simpler and slower,when wildlife had more room,and the world was more sane than it is today.

I would like to go back to food as seasonal raw ingredients, get rid of all pre-packaged, pre-prepared meals, and return to the time when we looked forward to the few weeks in the year when runner beans or strawberries were in, where people made a chicken or a joint of meat last a week, by boiling up bones for soup, using up leftovers, storing things carefully for the winter months, where people respected food and we lived with the seasons using locally produced food.
