Where is the best place to see the Severn Bore?

I have, for some time been interested in the phenomenon of the 'Severn Bore' but have never seen it in person.

I just read Tabby Kitten's post of the intention to introduce a tidal barrier on the river that may well effect this natural and unusual tidal movement. It seems just plain wrong that such an established natural event could soon be a thing of the past and I am spurred into looking for the best time and place to witness this for myself. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best viewpoints and times / tides? (I would hate to make a trip from Yorkshire to discover that the best time had been the day before hehe)

Timetable

Stonebench area near Gloucester is a brilliant place to see it. You need to see a 3 star at least. It's particularly good on a clear moonlit night. Don't stand too close thugh and becareful, you can get cut off after a big one when it floods. PM fo any more info.
