I used to work for a Wildlife Trust which used Exmoor ponies, Dexter cattle and various sheep for grazing. I think they each have their grazing patterns that are useful for different reserves.

They were still there a month or so ago.
They have also used them at Thristlington Nature Reserve.

Sheep graze very close to the ground. Cattle graze longer. Horses graze selectively.

The Dartmoor ponies are still being used at the Barton Hills Nature Reserve.
