From what I observe, or can understand, lbw does seem to be very much a figment of umpires' imaginations. So that gets us back to the offside law .... and the value of "4x4"s ....

Just because a lot of referees don't understand it that doesn't mean that humans, male or female can't. Although I do go through the same routine at every Match of the Day week after week. But then my wife has't really been able to see the point of football, let alone the offside law .... | No because its 2x4 not 2x2
the 4 dictates the number of wheels ( unless your a reliant owner) the x means "of" so i guess its kind of...2 of 4 wheels drive (2x4) = normal car or 4 of four wheels drive (4x4)
but its a tricky one...as you can call them All Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel drive, 4x4, Off roader , blah de blah.
Dont even get me onto mountain bikes...you have full susser, rear susser, softail, hardtail, rigid, jumpframed, cross country, trials, urban cross, freeride and the list goes on. .... |

Ahhhh! But my car is intelligent! It's normally 2 wheel drive (front) but if the front wheels start slipping eg. on ice, snow or an unfortunate tourist... then it automatically switches to 4 wheel drive to get 'me' to safety and full control - geddit!
Wot's offside rule then?!? Nah, don't need to know really, just pulling your leg lol! |
