Nice idea, but who's going to march up to the castle and tell Lord & Lady Muck to move out to a mud hut,
We plan to move to a smaller premises WHEN we retire, but, as usual, the smaller premises in the outer lands are fast catching up our house price, even [non] mobile homes are horribly expensive, most people would love a little turnip in the country, but pricing will make it just as cheap or cheaper to stay where we are.

Max. | I agree its a totally impractical solution, but my idea is based on best use of space, not cost, and Lord and Lady Muck would be the first to go if I had my way. It is the same now as its been since the beginning of history, a house is a prestige object first and as a necessity a poor second, the larger your house the more important you are has always been the doctrine, and this will not change no matter how many are flooded out or how many are living in overcrowded conditions, or in cardboard boxes. The bottom line is, there is just not enough space for the population we have, and yet we still keep increasing the numbers of people who want more.
