| | | Left hand and right maintain mutual iggerance. "The MoD is blocking plans for hundreds of wind turbines because their "seismic noise" will prevent the detection of nuclear explosions around the world. The MoD claims vibrations from windfarms will interfere with . . . the operation of its seismological station at Eskdalemuir.
Up to one gigawatt of renewable power was being held up by the MoD . . ."
Report in the Guardian. There is more detail but I fell off me chair laughing before I could read it all.
The loonies are running the asylum.

| | | Re: Left hand and right maintain mutual iggerance. The rotors make a noise/vibration and the column transmits the sound into the ground, I would thought that was obvious

| | | Re: Left hand and right maintain mutual iggerance. Too obvious for politicians NS. Could not the Mod and the DoE liaise on this? A lot of public money has been wasted on planning applications which were successful and then blocked by the Whitehall warriors.

| | | Re: Left hand and right maintain mutual iggerance. ........ and just think what all that noise and vibration - esp in the sea/off the coasts - will do to the worlds whales and dolphins ............ and who's to say that the vibrations on land won't trigger seismic activity and lead to more earthquakes and all that follows that scenario ............
