| | | Fracking Cameron So the greenest gov't ever has decided to go all out for the dirtiest most dangerous form of fossil fuel in the known universe. Fracking gas in Pennsylvania has released so much methane into the watertable that tap water burns. Carcinogenic chemicals are at lethal levels, breathing is a hazardous activity. Cameron and his ilk are planning to use the method on land and in the North Sea.
Weekend in Blackpool anybody?

"Hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking," got a clean bill of health this week in the first scientific look at the safety of the oil and production practice."

This one could run and run . . .

All good in theory but nature has a way of dealing with things in the wrong place. It was a concern when Canatxx proposed storing gas underground in southern Morecambe Bay. |

| | | Re: Fracking Cameron all they have done is slow down production in the UK, so the net effect if the country loses money and employment in the sector decreases.
They can happily leave oil/gas in the ground as its only going to get rarer and more valuable to them and more expensive to the end consumer

This one could run and run . . . | Can't be good if even the indifferent French have considered banning it. |

It was a concern when Canatxx proposed storing gas underground in southern Morecambe Bay. | The exact location for their proposal is the eastern - side of the River Wyre Estuary:- a short way-upstream from Knott End, which lies on the other side from Fleetwood. The site is part-based on the former cavities created by pumping brine from Salt-Bound subterranean deposits.
Canatxx have not given up:- I believe their second 'attack' to get Planning Permission from Wyre Borough Council for this includes utilising a 'charm offensive' campaign , using easy-on-the-eye/ well-informed ladies. |
