| | | Wind Turbines and Wildlife! Hello,
I wonder if you can help me please? I am conducting a survey about wind turbines and British wildlife for an investigative project at college and wondered if you would take a few minutes to complete one please? Here is the link - Wind Turbines and Wildlife Survey
Thank you!
I am not allowed to give my opinion on this at the moment as I have to remain neutral . But please feel free to add any comments on here, I am allowed to discuss it, just not give my own personal opinion.

| | | Re: Wind Turbines and Wildlife! There is a concern about offshore windfarms affecting migratory fish routes here in the northwest.
Electromagnetic fields around supply cables in the sea bed and vibration are of concern to some interests. |

Thank you for your comments, I also read about the whales being affected. I did not know about the electromagnetic fields, but I shall research them now. Thank you! |

| | | Re: Wind Turbines and Wildlife! It's a great idea to find out people's feelings on the use of wind turbines.
In my opinion, wind farms will continue to make an increasingly important contribution and to the U.K's energy mix. I prefer off-shore farms to on-shore.
I think it is essential also that they are located sensitively, and not - for example - in the flight paths of migratory birds.
I've just completed the survey for you. |

| | | Re: Wind Turbines and Wildlife! I answered 'agree' to the question about migratory birds - it does depend on the location of the turbines though.
Some wind farms will of course cause more problems of this nature, compare with ones at other locations. |

Hey thats weird, just this morning I came across this, concerning the Whale story: A case of never letting the source spoil a good story | Ben Goldacre | Comment is free | The Guardian
Funny thing is it is written by a journalist, so probably a load of old tosh as well. |

I've just completed the survey for you. | Trouble is - many of the questions are a matter of evidence not opinion or feelings. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
