| | | Re: Wind Farms v. Beautiful Views I'd rather see wind farm developments than watch climate change cause species extinction, flood low lying nature reserves such as Titchwell and Minsmere etc, although I must admit I'd prefer them to be sited offshore though or at least kept away from more sensitive wildlife habitats and AONB's. |

In fifty years time we will be signing petitions "Save our turbines" when people plan to knock them down

| | | Re: Wind Farms v. Beautiful Views Why do we need wind turbines is it to lower carbon emission's and if so how much electricity does a turbine need to produce before it becomes carbon neutral and would it not be better if we were just told gas and coal will run out and we need alternative energy sources to produce electricity in the future. |

| | | Re: Wind Farms v. Beautiful Views Thats about right really, they are an alternative energy producer supposidly, but untill energy greed goes down then they will never produce enough consistanty, the whole system is wrong, society should be more autonimous i think the word is, every town or city should be responsible for making its own energy from waste wind and sun, not having one massive grid, it would provide work and jobs too on a local level,
Its the same old story mass consumerism equals mass profits for the fat cats | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
