I'm already stocked up But does anyone know exactly how we are supposed to dispose of them. Our local library takes batteries, which is handy, but dont know what we are supposed to do with dead bulbs. I've only had two die on me and I've been usuing them since they were available and were huge.

Guess they are 'floresent tubes' for disposal.

| | | Re: super-cheap energy saving lamps deal I had 4 packs sent to me from 2 energy suppliers, one was that I was signed up to the Aged Concern Tariff, because I'm 53 years old. I went back to my old supplier for that - cheek of it, then my present supplier done the same, sent more lamps, but not because of the Aged Concern. What will my work-mates think, Age Concern is for grumpy old men who moan about headaches, and sore throats.

My lamps were sent February this year. I will let you know as I haven't started them yet.

I must say I didn't realise there were two types, either. A young friend of mine who had to frequently visit the loo used to complain that he was in and out of my bathroom before the light had got up to speed!
