| | | Geo thermal. I was delighted to note that David Cameron spoke up in favour of geo thermal energy today. Much neglected in this country unfortunately.

1 - its expensive to set up (probably less than nuclear though)
2 - the best places for it are granite outcrops, which are in places like Dartmoor and exmoor, not exactly where you want lots of buildlings and power lines |

| | | Re: Geo thermal. Generally so but Southampton uses geo thermal energy and has done for some years. Harold Wilson turned down investigation as the government decided that the energy would only be available for thirty years. About the same as some nuclear power stations!
