Does anyone know where I could find some info about wind turbines for the home or small buildings?

I read somewhere recently that 1 or 2 schools in Britain had fitted them to the roof and were using them to generate a fair amount of electricity, but I can't find the article again.

I don't suppose anyone knows what sort of planning there would need to be for this sort of thing. Chances are, you're allowed a satellite dish to get 300 channels of junk TV but you can't a wind turbine to get 300 Kw of clean electricity.

A friend was telling at the weekend that one of the school turbines is in the peak district somewhere, possibly Bakewell or Buxon.

The Centre for Alternative Technology www.cat.org.uk, who have their own turbines, run courses, have a free phone advisory service and will doubtless have leaflets on this, as well as books for sale.

Oh, and they sell turbines too, but you're not obliged to buy.
