I found out about it afterwards. It wouldn't have made any real difference to us because we can't turn off anything more in our house.
The website showed there was a small increase in consumption on the day, which is a pity, but then not many people knew so didn't make the effort. |

So there might actually have been a small reduction in non-essential energy use but it was masked by the increase needed for heating.

What gets me they ask us to turn this and that off or down,what about flood lights,shops,drs,hospitals,they dont just have one light on they have hundreds all over cealings, in day light as well,which is not needed when its light outside. |
