ID : Rock larval casing.

Hello,

At the weekend, I came across the larval case of some species made up of tiny stone fragments attached to the wall of the Napoleonic Fort. The cases measured no more than 5mm long and were all equally made up in the same colour order through the length. I have uploaded a couple of images and would like to ask if anyone recognises these.

Just possibly 0179 Dahlica lichenella Lichen Case-bearer .

Thanks for that. Clicking on further info within the UKMoths link brings down some excellent information. I shall take this further with the county recorder and hopefully he might be able to advise with local knowledge of Berry Head.
