carpet beetle larvae

hi all i need some help in ideas of how to rid my home of these i know for deffinant that they are carpet beetle larvae as this has been going on some time now i have had the house sprayed with insectaside and even don it myself but they keep coming back now i know where the source is coming from i need to know what i should do basically they are coming from within the chimney i have blocked all airvents on the chimney i found a hole in a cupboard that leads into the chimney i have blocked this up too and ealed any gaps in the bottom of the cupboard but find 1 larvae in ther every other day ant a clue how they are getting through and also blocked up any other bits that may lead to it please help they are taking over my life and streesing me out thanks in advance

Had this problem many years ago when I was living in an old cottage. Traced the problem to a birds nest and young which had fallen down an obsolete chimmney behind a loose screen used to block the fireplace. Well fortunately I was able to remove the offending nest and mummified birds. I used all kinds of insecticides including boric powder which is recommended as an insecticide among its many other uses. Scattered it wherever I found traces of the beetle and cannot be sure that I exterminated all of the devils but they were never troublesome again. Incidentally I don't think Boric Acid Powder is toxic but check this out if you have animals or children running around.
