1 - think I found this (possibly even pupa, not chrys.) on dense euonymous.


2 - tufted moth caterpillar, found on erica.


3 - another tufted, found in hazel and ivy.


4 - looping caterpillar, found on my car window (could be from hazel).


5 - another looper, found on hazel.


6 - found on the bonnet of a vehicle after driving along dense tall grasses at field edge.


7 - hairy and small, found on conifer hedge.

8 - flew in through the window of the car when we were driving through thick, long grasses.

The only one I can do is Number 2, the larva of the Vapourer moth.

For number 1 "pupa" and "chrysalis" are different words for the same thing.

Think 3 is a Yellow Tail moth caterpillar.

6 is a sawfly larva.
