Do you have a side on photo? Or if not did it have a horn or a hump at the rear?

I am wondering whether it might be a Angle Shades ( Phlogophora meticulosa)?
I see a broken white line along the back, pale line below the spiracles and oblique dark stripes above the spiracles. Also the body shape, head and legs look the same. The colour can vary from brown to green (I think it depends on what it has been eating?)
I am not an expert though, I'm looking at my insect book.

| | | Re: Caterpilar for i.d please I don't know much about caterpillars, but I saw these in may garden when I stayed in Edinburgh (on my Courgettes), and Angle Shades were one of the few Moths we used to get there. |
