Interesting Brown Beetle for ID
Found interesting beetle today (I am not really into beetles)
It was about 1cm long, brown, about as shiny as ground beetle, It had a ledge round the carapace more pronounced than a Violet Ground Beetle and had pointed ovipositor type of appendage on the tail.
It was found at around 59deg North.
Sorry was leading Kids "Minibeast hunt" so had no time for photos. I am sure that you beetle guys will Id it within minute.
