Spikey beauty for ID please

Hi folks this tiny little fellow was photographed by my daughter in grassland last week. I`d love to put a name to him. There were quite a few on a clump of grass.
Any pointers gratefully received

Thanks for the ladybird larva factsheet - will come in very handy. It was only last year that I learnt ladybirds didn't just have baby ladybirds

I seriously thought ladybirds had little ladybirds too!!!! I only found out about one month ago when found spikey thing similar to your photo in the garden. Did some research and was surprised when i found out what it was and believe me its been many a year since i left school

It`s amazing isn`t it, we really do never stop learning. The more you find out you realise how little you know..............well me anyway
