I'd say that it's a Hebrew Character.

I have had a look at these on the web but it doesn't really match mine. Any more ideas?

I have found a very similar caterpillar a couple of years running in my garden (Weymouth) and also some brown ones both of which seem to match a moth on the lepidoptra site, given by Fauna, "Angle Shades" which has both a green and brown variation.

Of course I could be entirely wrong and am open to correction.

After looking at my catterpillars again, they definately look like the Angle Shades catterpillars.
