Hi,
Please could someone advise me about eggs found on nettles in the garden today? There's a cluster of small black eggs, and on a different leaf there's a single light green / yellow egg with a white band in the middle, lying on its side. there are loads of tiny black specks (droppings from a creature?) by this.
My daughter was upset last year when her "butterfly eggs" turned out to be sawflies, don't want to disappoint her again!

Thanks for your welcome, Tracey!
I've tried taking pics but am not great at it... the pics of the tiny black eggs didn't work, but please find attached a couple of the green /yellow egg. Looks like something's about to emerge as it's now black at one end.
