I have found what I think are Spindle Ermine Moth Caterpillars on the Spindle tree in my garden.
They have made environments for themselves on different places on the tree.
One cluster appears to have about 10 caterpillars inside.
There is evidence that some of the inhabitants have perished in places for what ever reason.
I believe they take about 6 weeks to develop, so I shall watch, wait & hope the birds don't get them.
If they do turn out to be Spindle Ermine Moths, then that'll be a lifer for me, if I get to see one that is!
Hopefully in my trap.
