| | | ID larva please
I would be grateful for assistance identifying this beautiful larva pleae.
Photo taken yesterday alongside my 'wildlife' pond in West London.
Larva was maybe the diameter of my little finger and around 3 inches long. When I looked a few hours later the larva had become a dark pupa with several light coloured marks.
Many thanks,
Pam. |

Here's the pupa. Photo taken today, the light patches are no longer visible. |

| | | Re: ID larva please Sadly, pretty larva (probably a Noctuid moth) has been infected by (probably) a virus, and is quite dead.Never nice, but all part of life. |

Thank you.
Does that mean it should be destroyed? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
