| | | Bee Parasite Eggs? Hi, Can anyone identify these 'eggs' or confirm that that's what they are, on this bee's neck/shoulder please?

This type of mite is not considered to be a big threat to bees unless they block the spiracle (airways) or genitals (to prohibit breeding). They usually just hitch a lift from nest to nest and feed on waste materials, detritus etc inside the nest. You will find that most bees have these. |
