| | | Unidentified eggs on gooseberry Hello again,
Some eggs this time. I found them last year on my gooseberry bush, just before I went on holiday. Silvery-grey with one green one in the middle. Not knowing what damage the hatched beastie might do, I had the choice to squash or not squash. I went for not squash, which seemed the right choice as whatever it was didn't hurt anything.
Sorry about the garbage photography.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Unidentified eggs on gooseberry Thanks. We do get plenty of shield bugs round here.
What struck me as bizarre was the one green one in the middle. Different stage of development or something?
It also makes me glad I didn't squash them. I assumed they were there because the gooseberry was a food source. I posted on a gardening forum and all the advice was to get rid, and I didn't know what I'd find when I got back from my holiday, so it was a close call. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
