| | | Bees eggs or pest eggs? Hi everyone ! Yesterday our Willow tree was absolutely buzzing! thousands of Bees big Bumbles and the smaller honey Bees !
I took some photos - one of the Bumbles has "eggs" on it ! I shall try and upload photos !
Does anyone know if these are pests or what ? |

| | | Re: Bees eggs or pest eggs? Yes, they're mites. They don't do any damage in the way that ticks do, as aeshna said, they're phoretic, just hitching a ride. However, they can block insects' spiracles (breathing tubes) and genitalia causing long-term damage. Hopefully these are only on the overwintered queens? |
