maggot, caterpillar, grub ??

whats the difference between caterpillars maggots and grubs?

Found a crawley in my garage and I thought it was a maggot at first but then i noticed it had tiny little legs... so then i thought caterpillar...

Looks very like a maggot tho because it is white and has a brown head...

Help ??

It sounds like a beetle grub..

Maggot, caterpillar, grub, all terms interchangeable generally between flies, moths, sawflies, wasps, bees, beetles, etc., etc. Larva is the only necessary term. Not a maggot though, in the sense of anglers' bait, these have no visible head. Try to post a picture and you will get an accurate answer very quickly.

You would need a photo, its most likely a beetle as kayleigh says but it could also be from a moth.

yeah I took a picture but didn't quite have time to upload from camera...
