larva id please - fly?
Found this crawling across the kitchen floor. Looks like a fly larva of some kind. Never seen anything like it before. Any idea, please?

Partially upside down (which it doesn't like)

Size is about 15mm long by 7mm wide. Quite a flat appearance.

Thank you. Had a couple of wasp nests on the house this year so that could be related. I think we had some Merodon equestris on some indoors Agapanthus earlier in the year so that may be another possibility.

Pretty sure this is Volucella, but don't have Rotheray to hand to confirm.
