| | | Re: Larva ID please Suspect its the larva of one of the Volucella hoverflies: several live in nests of bees and wasps. The prominent 'spike' at the lower end of the larva in the picture looks like the process which supports the posterior spiracles in hoverfly larvae. Size and location then made me think of Volucella.
