| | | Larval stage but similar to adult stick insect Hi all
Apologies for the lack of photos (I do have some but not on this computer) but a friend came across a larva which had features of a moth or butterfly larva (short stumpy legs and segmented body, smooth and without visible hairs) but the tail section of it looked more like the horny sections of chitin I normally associate with stick insects. This was in the UK. If anyone can help an ID from with that description I'd be most grateful, I will try and get the photos on here in the meantime.

| | | Re: Larval stage but similar to adult stick insect I don't know what you mean by chitin and I am not familiar with stick insects but I wondered if it was one of the hawk moth caterpillars which have a horned tail. |
