Big round brown caterpillar + eyes (??)0n top
My not too clear a picture...... shows what looks like a rather short but massively round caterpillar. The defining feature is what appears to be 2 huge eyes on top of the very end part. I think they are just markings and the small mouth appears just beneath. I have never seen one before. Found in South Devon today. Any knowledge appreciated!

It's the caterpillar of the Elephant Hawk moth. There have been many reported this year.and there is much information on WAB. (or google it for more).
