Caterpillar ID please
Hi,

Hi Rob, welcome to the site!
I'm not certain but it looks like a Red Admiral caterpillar, hopefully someone can confirm or correct that id though.

Its definately a nymphalid however I was swaying more towards Painted lady, the photo is at a bit of a hard angle.

Did you find it on/near nettle or thistle?

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm informed that the caterpillar was on a wall (rather unhelpfully).
