| | | Caterpillar I.D please? Hi,
I just saw a lovely caterpillar in a pot of beans at my sons nursery garden.
It was black with a bright green stripe in the middle and a black spike on it's head.
I didn't have a camera but does anyone know what it may be from the description?
Thanks

That sounds a lot like a Grey Dagger - Acronicta psi. The adult moth is indistinguishable from another species, the Dark Dagger, but the caterpillar is very distinctive!
