Is this a Pale Tussock Caterpillar?
This was crawling around on a scots pine today. It looks similar to the photo on the UK Moths site but not quite the same (e.g. no real black bands).



If it is a Pale Tussock are these very variable?

Looks like Pale Tussock, maybe earlier instar?? Sometimes the guides only show mature caterpillars...
