Bright-line Brown-eye - Lacanobia oleracea would be my suggestion.

i think those are like a pinky red colour r they not? as caterpillars i meen

I believe there are two forms, one is green and the other is a reddish colour as you say.

Looks like a young BLBE to me, yes there are two colours and they are night feeders....have put both colour form pics on my Gallery if interested?

Thanks GuyF: Your ID has allowed me to research this fella further. He/she suddenly appeared amongst a numerous brood of Toadflax Brocade Moth caterpillers I've got at present all munching on a potted self-seeded purple toadflax plant back of my London home.
