| | | Help IDing a caterpillar please Hi, I favour Phragmatobia fuliginosa but most of the photos of these seem darker? Photographed 09/8/2010, not assocciated with any particular food plants - just walking along! Approx 50mm long?
SE Kent, UK
Thanks

| | | Re: Help IDing a caterpillar please Thanks Doghound - I searched for images of Spilosoma luteum on various sites and wasn't really happy - they all seem much darker, but then used Bioimages website ( Spilosoma luteum (Hufnagel, 1766) (Buff Ermine) ) and the photos on there could have been my caterpillar! So - yes Spilosoma luteum
Thanks
