| | | Sneaky Green Caterpillar Can someone please help me, I've been all over the web and back again with no answer.
I'm breeding Cabbage Whites, but in the tank is one green caterpillar, dont know how it snuck in.
Its completely green, completely smooth, but the problem is that because its only 1cm long, I cant tell what it is.
Its now just sitting at the bottom of the tank and I'm worried it doesnt eat cabbage leaves.
Please help!!! |

| | | Re: Sneaky Green Caterpillar Hi, did you hatch the caterpillars from eggs you found and are they Large Whites or Small Whites? Maybe you have lots of Large White larvae and one Small White larva (they're green) which was a stray egg. Bizarre! |

| | | Re: Sneaky Green Caterpillar Sounds like it as large whites lay eggs in big groups and small whites lay them one at a time under a leaf so it could easily have gone unnoticed. They both love cabbages so should be fine! The small one might want to hide a bit more though as it relies more on camouflage than the large white which is poisonous to predators and doesn't have to bother hiding! Good luck and keep me updated |

| | | Re: Sneaky Green Caterpillar If they're in a tank they won't get eaten. Sounds like the large ones are fully grown and will pupate soon anyway. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
