Hi all,
My boss just walked in with this, she found it on her doorstep. It's about 5cm long.
Lots of people here have offered suggestions (stick insect, larve, pupei, caterpillar, severed limb) but I was hoping someone here could shed some light?
Any help greatly appreciated!

The thorax is the 'tasty bit' for birds they're full of muscle.

I've just been in touch with the afternoon shift, and they report it is still "breathing" now, over 5 hours after it was found! Creepy.
