Found 4 of these in my garden, could you tell me what they are please

Its a magpie moth.

Thank you, that's excellent, I've discovered the caterpillar as well. all I need now is the adult! Any idea how long they will be like this?

Its largely dependent on humidity/temperature. The problem is we dont know when they pupated, its best to check on them each morning or evening to see if anything has emerged. It normally takes up to a couple of weeks.
