| | | ID eggs / larvae I am trying to identify the following.
The nests are spun in the leaves of willow trees pulling together the leaves to form a case.
The eggs are black specks in the cocoon.
The larvae in the nest are 4 or 5 mm long and about 1 mm diam.
The tree is covered in nests
I attach some photos for assistance |

| | Re: ID eggs / larvae this looks to me just like processionary catapillars that you get in europe but not sure as they usualy live on pine trees but the nests are simular so i don't really know but worth looking into more but go careful just incase as if it is they can cause a bad allergic reaction
in france they carefully cut the nests down and burn them | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
